Hawick is home to some of the leading Cashmere brands in the world today. There is no other material quite like it. Using only the very finest cashmere yarns, harvested in an ecologically sustainably manner without harm to the cashmere goats who provide this amazing material.




K is for Knitwear


Johnstons of Elgin knit all their jumpers, gloves, hats, scarves and socks in their Eastfield Mill building in Hawick. Whilst you can watch seamless garments being knitted at Hawico of Scotland and ‘Lockies’ are renowned for producing some of the softest, finest and most luxurious Knitwear in the world.
